The country’s slow growth of local recruitment especially among the minorities while seeking the easier option of international staffing is not economically viable in the long term as the exporting countries seek compensation and levy the departing professionals. Foreign recruitment has however helped create better synergy and collegiality. 

The traditional sensory stimulation theory says that effective learning occurs when the senses are stimulated.(Laird, 1985 cited in Dunn, 2002). 75% of learning is through seeing, 13 % by hearing and all other senses account for 12 %. When multisenses are stimulated, greater learning is possible.

When I step into my new part of the profession as a  registered nurse, I plan to incorporate all aspects of nursing skills, knowledge, practice, leadership qualities, and empowerment to the best use and deliver the best care possible to the patient. I also plan to pursue higher education to attain more legitimate and expert powers.

A PPCI service has been established for North Devon which will commence very soon.  South Devon patients are receiving 24/7 Thrombolysis treatment but very soon they will be provided with 24/7 PPCI service with the help of referral pathways to Derriford, Royal Devon, and Exeter foundation trust hospitals.d

Instances of physical restraint comprise vests, straps/belts, limb ties, wheelchair bars and brakes, chairs that tip backwards, tucking in sheets too tightly, and bedside rails. Bed rails and belts are the most often used restraints in bed; chairs with a table and belts are the most commonly used restraints in a chair.

For practising nurses, it is important to understand these differences in order to ensure that all the patient’s demands are met. When men died of heart attacks at a younger age and in larger numbers than is presently so, they were not left to face cancer of the prostate and dementia. The patient was unable to breathe and went into systole. (The part of the cardiac cycle in which the heart muscles contract pumping the blood into the main blood vessels.) Not only that, the background of the respondents who contributed to the study results was rather questionable. There was no indication of whether these respondents were erstwhile or continuing mature nursing students. The researchers did not provide details, which may have greatly affected the authoritativeness and credibility of the findings and the quality of the study as a whole.

A mental health nurse, like a nurse of any other branch, has to make a health assessment of a patient. The health assessment is gathering and making analysis of data to identify the client’s problems and to decide on the care to be provided. The assessment lasts from the time of admission until discharge.

Patient assessment: Before beginning any care I ensured that the suctioning and oxygen is working, nebuliser equipment, suction and suction catheters, CPR equipment was on bedside. I looked for signs of hypoxia, infection and pain while establishing a quality rapport. I then checked out the trachea tube, any tubing and equipment connected to it, and the stoma site.

The expected outcomes of EBP will help the nurses to improve their knowledge and, subsequently, their professional practice.  This will also reduce the mortality rate of patients on mechanical ventilation. Since the nurses show better performances, this will reflect positively on the performance of the health care service.

In a deliberate attempt to highlight pain in the aged, the issue of how grave and prevalent chronic pain among the general population is. Establishing how prevalent the condition is important in this study since it implies how the findings would benefit stakeholders in the management of the condition 

After conducting the complete patient assessment, all data gathered shall be critically analyzed, organized, validated, and documented. Ability to identify significant cues and make correct inferences is based on observation skills, knowledge base, and clinical expertise, and these skills are developed continually. 

The coming of the 21st century has seen a rise in health consciousness all over the globe as the quality of life and longevity have been given much importance. Although the concept of health seems relative in that it varies for every individual, it is still imperative to be concerned about it in order to enjoy life fully. 

Nurses should speak to the hospital administration about the need for proper resources, staffing and ways to decrease workloads. Hospital administrators should provide support on both unit and institutional levels. For example, nurses should be given further training and tuition which would increase their confidence.  

According to the British Thoracic Society (BTS), roughly more than 70,000 British individuals die from respiratory diseases such as emphysema, bronchitis, and asthma annually. Despite the high incidence of death among the patients suffering from respiratory diseases, it is unfortunate that the British government and the National Health Services (NHS) focuses more on cancer and heart diseases only.

The birth of a child is associated with dramatic hormonal shifts. During the term of a pregnancy, the levels of endogenous glucocorticoids and estrogens in the body increase; however, after the delivery of the child, the level of these hormones suddenly plummets, which causes a temporary hypoactivation in the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, which lasts for several weeks.

I consider every woman to be a nurse because she is involved in taking care of someone’s health at some point of her life.  In my opinion, a nurse is someone who takes responsibility for somebody’s health.  I adhered to the view that if every woman knew how to nurse, the product of their collaborated experience and efforts can be very magnanimous and precious.

During medical studies, such people are taught about the value of respecting human life and treating all patients with respect.

A paper by Coughlin, Pope, and Leedle (2006) sought to assess the innovations in medical technology and their implications for nursing education. The study pointed out that about 80 million of the baby boomers are about to enter an age of chronic disease and infirmities; consequently, there is bound to be an increase in health care costs.

Nurses should build situations in hospitals that enable dealing with the needs and demands of the essence to spouses. In relation to some findings, such an environment is one that assures spouses that the patient is in good hands and gives chances for spouses to interact with personnel and others about the experience of hospitalization.

As a high level of technology is typically not needed in the care of cognitively dysfunctional elderly patients, these individuals might be the initial patients nursing students are assigned to care for (Beck 1996). Even though, elderly people do not require high tech care, but their nursing care can be very demanding for the nursing students.

Although historically, gram-negative organisms have predominated in the etiology of severe sepsis, recent trials indicate that both gram-positive and negative pathogens are identified with similar frequencies (Micek, Shah, Kollef, 2003). Therefore, a broad-spectrum antimicrobial should be administered.

For qualitative research to be effective in any field of study it is used, the appropriate research design must be relied on for conducting the study. The three major research designs used by most scholars include ethnography, grounded theory, and phenomenology. Grounded theory concentrates on the construction of theories out of findings from researches.

According to the above results the plans related to the involvement of nurses in the delivery of health care services – at least as structured – have not achieved the required results. A more detailed approach of the whole issue is required in order for the role of the nurse to be accurately identified and supported.    

The author’s duty is to establish a good, curative relationship with the patient but the experience helped the author understand the role of a nurse in mental health care. Thus, it is a success story where the author got a chance to become a part of a successful nursing team and understand the need for thinking to make one's thinking better.

“Health is wealth.” This is such a common cliché that most people hear every day but had seemed to be lost to its meaning. The theory of Watson has many benefits. However, the complexity of language, inconsistency in definitions, and complex and incoherent concepts have to lead to confusion of the readers. Despite all this criticism, Watson's theory has an important place in the care of patients and when applied, leads to soul-satisfying patient care.      

Offering the appropriate recommendations for dealing with the problem of injuries: these recommendations could include but not limited to employing wardens to stand by the roadsides and help save vehicle traffic victims, or dispatch risk managers to companies and teach them about workplace injuries, etc. 

My particular way of thinking started with attempting to respond to my own inquiries, together with, "what does nursing suggest to me," and "what's controlling my training."

It is the duty of a nurse or a health care practitioner to act upon the doctor’s advice and to obey the instructions imposed by the doctor. In most of the criminal and civil courts of justice, it is a usual practice to disregard nurses, hold them guilty, and accuse them of charges even if the nurse act upon everything as prescribed by the doctors.

Evidence-based practice is essential to deliver the most appropriate treatment. While looking for evidence from the research article, those with higher levels of the hierarchy have a better level of evidence. Addressing a clinical problem is possible through the analysis of the problem in PICO format.

The human mind is a double-edged sword. It is a rare gift of Nature (God) with immense, immeasurable power of unlimited supreme energy, which manifests through it, when it is made to shine, by providing proper conditions for its growth. In the humdrum of our daily activities of life, we are unable to realize how potent our mind is.
