In the experiment, a graph of sedimentation velocity versus superficial velocity was plotted. From the graph, it was seen that the general trend was that the two variables had a linear relation which is expected theoretically. But the points which were on the graph exhibited a high level of scattering with very few lying on the general trend line.

The colors indicate the identity of unknown compound samples. Metallic ions emit different colors when their respective metal salt is heated in a hot flame.
